About the Knowledge Hub

As part of its role in helping civil and infrastructure engineers to stay competent throughout their careers, the ICE recommends learning activities that members can undertake to meet their continuing professional development (CPD) commitments.

The ICE Knowledge Hub is an online platform offering members a range of educational materials to enhance their skills and expertise. It provides this CPD content in different forms to cater to users’ varying learning preferences.

These include:

  • Articles explaining a wide range of engineering topics in depth
  • Case studies, often featuring detailed infographics
  • Tech Talks – interviews, expert presentations and group discussions in podcast (audio) or video format

The platform and its content are looked after by the ICE’s engineering knowledge production team:

What is the ICE Knowledge Hub and how can it help me to fulfil my CPD commitments?

It is an online platform offering civil and infrastructure engineers a range of learning opportunities. It enables ICE members to access essential CPD resources created for them by the institution.

Why is the hub no longer a member-only resource?

To make it as easy as possible for users to access the new platform and explore its content, we have temporarily removed the need to log into it with a password.

Why does the Knowledge Hub look different?

In response to member feedback, we have refreshed the platform’s look and feel. The upgraded hub has been designed to make it quicker and easier for users to access the learning materials they need.

How can I track my progress on the new platform?

The hub features a tool enabling each user to save content on a personal bookmarks page. You can use this tool to keep track of what material you’ve consumed to help you maintain your CPD record.

Is the hub easy for non-technical users to navigate?

It has been designed to be user-friendly and accessible to everyone, regardless of technical ability.
